1. Bird’s Eye View of Paro International Airport
Paro Airport is one of the most beautiful airport that I have ever seen.
The airport is surrounded by mountains and a river which flows besides the airport making it even more majestic.
It’s even more beautiful during the winter when the mountains are covered with snow.
2. Tachogang Lakhang Bridge
Built in the 15th century, Tachogang Lakhang Bridge is located along Paro – Thimphu Highway. You might have to keep a close eye while going towards thimphu as this bridge is not directly visible while driving.

3. Buddha Dordenma Statue
When we visited The Buddha Dordenma Statute, it was under construction so the entry charges where not applicable during the visit. But now there might be entry charges so plan accordingly. The statue is Huge and is surrounded by mountains.

4. Tashichho Dzong
Taschichho Dzong is a must visit place. It presently houses the throne room and offices of the king, the secretariat and the ministries of home affairs and finance.
The premise is highly secured and protected by security personnel.The Lowering of Flag Ceremony is conducted every working day and make sure that you don’t miss the ceremony.
5. Memorial Chorten
A beautiful architecture in the heart of Thimphu City. A very busy place as lot of locals come to pray. Best time to visit would be after 11 am.

Thimphu Market offers a variety of things to the tourist. From Bhutanese traditional wear to Bhutanese art.
7. The National Museum of Bhutan
The National Museum of Bhutan covers more than 1,500 years of Bhutan’s cultural heritage. Its rich holdings of various creative traditions and disciplines, represent a remarkable blend of the past with the present and is a major attraction for local and foreign visitors.
8. Paro Chhu River Side
This is not exactly a acknowledged tourist place, our driver knew about this hidden gem. We parked our vehicle and went down the river side. Worth a visit just for the amazing view.
